Outdoor Learning Manager, Nicola Grieve at Pield Heath House School teaches approximately 55 students Horticulture on a weekly basis. The children and young people are aged between 7 and19 years, they all have additional learning needs.
"I have used Springbridge for the past three years. The whole process from ordering to delivery is very easy. The drivers are always polite on delivery. The products are also of a high standard", says Nicola.

Springbridge Mushroom compost and the Blended top soil have been used for the following projects:
- A polytunnel and allotment space is where fruit and veggies are grown, to make their own jams and chutneys
- Homegrown chillies are used to make truffles
- The garden supplies the school kitchen and student café with produce
- A new herb garden is being created this term, to create herb enthused candles and hand creams
- A mini orchard with ten new apple trees
- Recycled car tyres are used as planters to house eight plum trees

The most exciting and brand-new project for this year is the creation of a Bug Hotel Village! By recycling old dolls-houses to make the hotels; they are going to be secured into a hill in the garden at different levels, to create the village.
