Here are our tips to keep your garden looking healthy this summer!
1. Check your plants daily. Water them if the soil is dry (especially recently planted trees and shrubs).
2. Weeds will appear more as the weather gets warmer and it’s important to keep on top of them.
3. Whilst it may seem obvious, mowing your lawn regularly is one of the most important summer tasks.
4. On hot days, open your greenhouse doors. Check the plants in here daily and water them if you notice the soil is dry.
5. Make sure you keep your lawn watered during summer (especially newly seeded or turfed lawns).
6. Consider purchasing pest control to stop slugs from attacking your young plants.
7. Prevent your greenhouse from overheating by using blinds or applying shade paint.
8. Keep bird baths topped up.
9. Trim your evergreen hedges.
10. Position your summer hanging baskets and trim off any excess to encourage new growth.
