Springbridge is delighted to announce our involvement in the renovations at the stately and impressive Hampton Court Palace. Both the Rose Garden and the Wilderness at the historic royal palace in London will be improved with our premium cultivated turf and Fine Loam topsoil.

The new year winter gardening and small landscaping repairs and alterations at Hampton Court Palace are currently underway and should be completed soon. Once complete, Springbridge’s premium cultivated turf will become the beautiful lawns framed by the multi-coloured flowers of the Rose Garden.

Our Fine Loam topsoil will also be used as a sandy top dressing for seeding the rose bushes as well as the incredible wild blooms of the Wilderness.

Premium Cultivated Turf

This market leading turf is the first choice for landscape architects, head

gardeners, groundskeepers and home owners who demand a perfect, first-time

result. It is a beautiful lush, green cultivated turf grown by a Turf Growers Association-registered grower. Your order will be freshly harvested and delivered to you wherever you live in the countryside or a city, the suburbs or a royal palace.

Aside from its pleasing aesthetic, our premium cultivated turf is also a hard-wearing and low maintenance product. Weed-free and disease-resistant, it is grown from the highest quality blend of seed including Perennial Ryegrass, Slender Creeping Red Fescue, Strong Creeping Red Fescue and Chewings Fescue.

Fine Loam Top Dressing

Our Fine Loam Top Dressing is a natural topsoil used by top landscapers and

groundskeepers and has a variety of uses. Fine Loam topsoil is ideal for top dressing

lawns, seeding or any other applications where only the best topsoil available

is required.

This natural topsoil is the best soil in our range, completely stone free and screened to 6mm. It is a very sandy soil, taken as it is directly from sugar beet fields, and certified to British Standard BS3882:2007.

The Rose Garden at Hampton Court Palace

The Rose Garden is located on the site of the former kitchen garden of King William III who ruled England in the late 17th century. The first Rose Garden was created in the 1930s and has been evolving ever since.

Originally there were only a few island beds containing roses, but now there are multiple formal beds and borders of many different rose species and cultivars. There are grass paths laid with premium cultivated turf among the rose beds, which allow visitors to get closer to experience the beautiful rose blooms.

The future plans for the Rose Garden include adding new features every year so there is always something new to experience.

The Wilderness at Hampton Court Palace

The Wilderness isn’t quite as wild as the name might suggest, as it is named after the English name for the French Bosquet style of formal pleasure garden. Originally converted from the great orchard of Henry VIII into a pleasure garden by Charles II, the Wilderness is now a wild-growing meadow filled with wildlife all year round.

The most colourful time of year is early April when over a million daffodils and other flowering bulbs bloom together along with the beautiful cherry trees.

The team at Springbridge is very proud to be involved with the latest renovations and improvements, and to help bring these beautiful spaces to life.
